Biography

David Borland was born, raised and graduated high school in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.  He joined the military at age 20, and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant while serving on active duty in the United States Marine Corps from 1978 to 1986.  Mr. Borland spent three of his eight years in the Marine Corps in London, England, and finished his last tour of duty on the Inspector/Instructor Staff of the 4th Marine Reconnaissance Battalion in San Antonio, Texas.  After leaving the military, he received a Bachelor's Degree from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Mr. Borland completed his first year of law school at Tulsa University Law School before transferring to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor degree. 

Mr. Borland has the added insight and experience of having worked inside an insurance claims office before becoming a trial lawyer.  Representing people who have been harmed by the negligent conduct of others is the primary focus of his practice, but he also has an extensive practice in the areas of medical negligence, contract law, veteran's disability law and social security disability law. Focusing on a limited range of legal issues has allowed him the opportunity to gain expertise at a high level in those specific areas of law.  Mr. Borland believes this kind of narrow focus ultimately serves the best interest of his clients. It has been said that it is impossible to be good at everything, and this is especially true in the practice of law.
