Ray B. Schlegel

Biography

Mr. Schlegel received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas in 1997.  He received his law degree from the University of Arkansas, where he graduated with honors in 2001.  During law school, Mr. Schlegel participated in numerous skills competitions and was a Semifinalist in the 2000 Ben J. Altheimer Moot Court Competition and won second place for Best Brief.  Mr. Schlegel was also member of the Arkansas Law Review before serving on the Editorial Board as a Note and Comment Editor during his final year.  His work has been published in the Arkansas Law Review and Arkansas Law Notes, which are circulated to all Arkansas attorneys.
 
Following law school, Mr. Schlegel worked for a firm handling insurance defense and complex commercial litigation.  Feeling that he was on the wrong side of these matters, Mr. Schlegel joined NCR in 2004, where he now specializes in representing individuals in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, social security disability, and family law.  He is licensed to practice in both Arkansas and Oklahoma.  Since 2004, he has recovered millions of dollars for his injured and disabled clients, and he has successfully tried numerous bench and jury trials.  Mr. Schlegel has been active in community organizations, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Lifestyles Inc., and serves as legal counsel for his property owners association.  Mr. Schlegel works in the Northwest Arkansas office, and he lives in Springdale with his wife, Cheri, and his two daughters, Peyton and Laney.
